Can antioxidants trigger an immune response in multiple sclerosis?

May 4th, 2009 | Posted by admin | Category: antioxidants2 Comments

I'm wondering if antioxidants in multi-vitamins and typical supplements can trigger immune attack.

Studies have shown antioxidants and have the potential to diminish symptoms and support recovery in multiple sclerosis.

There are at least 6 clinical trials studying antioxidants and multiple screosis currently underway.

If your antioxidant levels in your body are low. How soon would you want to know?

May 4th, 2009 | Posted by admin | Category: antioxidant5 Comments

Antioxidants are substances that may protect cells from the damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals. Free radical
damage may lead to cancer. Antioxidants interact with and stabilize free radicals and may prevent some of the damage free radicals otherwise might cause. Examples of antioxidants include beta-carotene, lycopene, vitamins C, E, and A to name a few.
When you have too few antioxidants to counteract your free radicals, significant damage can occur, leading to a variety of chronic degenerative diseases, ranging from stroke and fibromyalgia, to sinusitis, arthritis, vision problems, and even Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. A poor diet, cigarette smoking, environmental pollutants, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun also increase the free-radical load, creating a situation known as "oxidative stress."

Antioxidants are essential to maintaining a healthy body. I don't think you would actually know that you are low in antioxidants itself but if you were low in certain vitamins I'm sure your body will let you know, different signs for different vitamins. I hope that helps? Most people aren't concerned about low levels of antioxidants when their body is lacking vitamins. I think you're more concerned about what vitamins youre body might be lacking.

Where Do I find wild Ginseng? My mom has cancer and her health specialist said to use wild ginseng for strengt

May 4th, 2009 | Posted by admin | Category: ginseng3 Comments

My mom has cancer and her health specialist said to use wild ginseng to strengthen her immune system. We dont have the money to buy wild ginseng so I need to find where me and my family can pick it for her.

Hey there,

I know that Wisconsin is known for their ginseng, considering I live there. I don't know anything about what area you're located in so it's hard to say where you can go pick it from. I really don't think that ginseng is expensive though.

Best wishes to your family at this time. I hope that all goes well for you.

God bless :)

How to get rid of fine lines?

May 4th, 2009 | Posted by admin | Category: fine lines7 Comments

Does anyone know how to get rid of fine lines on the face.? I'm only 19 but I have these slightly visible lines under my eyes that make me always look tired

It could be genetic of which you have no control over. Start with a healthy diet. Good foods are a basic for good-looking skin now and as you age! Eat citrus fruits as they help build collegen, and get plenty of protein. Drink lots of water, it hydrates and lubricates your skin from the inside out. Use a NOURISING oil around your eyes (face) like vitamin E, coconut, almond, or palm nut oil. Or try a natural collegen/elastin type cream. I buy ALL my skin products at a health store! OR use Palmers brand cocoa butter…you can find most anywhere. Good luck!
