Is it safe to take 120 mg Gingko tablets and 100mg Ginseng?

February 11th, 2010 | Posted by admin | Category: ginseng1 Comment

I bought one bottle of Gingkoba (gingko 120mg) and one bottle 100mg korean ginseng. Ive heard of people taking them in one capsule but is it safe to take them separetely? Ive also read where people taking these experienced negative side effects.

yes, most herbs can be thought of as potent foods and mixed freely as one does foods. One would not want to mix, for instance an emetic and anti-emetic herbs, though, as they would cancel each other out.

However, capsules and capsules are not that effective at all. They are very poorly absorbed and the worst way to take herbs,

Next time go for organic herbs as they (and wildcrafted herbs) are 7-10 times higher in the phytonutrients/chemicals that cure and prevent disease. conventional herbs are much cheaper for the manufacturer and are often purchased form third world countries where they use things like ddt and human manure to fertilize as they can pay workers pennies a day to pick them.

Also you want to buy tinctures and not capsules/tablets as these are very easily absorbed bypassing digestion and going right to the bloodstream. The alcohol menstrum in the tincture extracts some of the healing chemicals that water cannot but teas are 2nd best.
always use distilled or steam distilled water as it is empty and extracts more phytochemicals.

Use an infusion for soft plant parts like flowers and leaves and fresh berries etc., You make this by pouring boiling water over the herbs (loose or in a tea ball/bag) and steep for 15 minutes.

for a decoction, used for hard parts of the plants like roots, bark and hard berries (and ginseng) boil the herb in distilled water for 15 minutes and then strain.

Actually, most non poisonous herbs are very safe and have far less side effects than the average drug. Just like people can have placebo effects thinking an herb will help them so too can they have them if scared of harm. Put your mind at rest. So often people worry about alternative health one of the best things they might be doing for their body and yet have no problems eating fries every day, junk food, fast foods, no exercise, toxic thoughts, hate, smoking, drinking, drugs, low nutrition foods and then worry is 3 cups of peppermint tea going to hurt me. I would not worry.

I have taken a large number of herbs and have over 500 bulk herbs and many bottle/tinctures in my house and took many, many herbs together and never once have I experienced any harm from any of them, the worst being cayenne burned for a while when not in a capsule.

It is very easy to quickly harvest a lot of ginkgo leaves if you know of a tree in your area. They are easy to identify due to the distinctive leaves. harvest in the fall and spread out to dry or tincture them fresh or dried. Dried herbs last about a year and tinctures can last over 100 years. You will likely save over 90% of the cost of buying them and have something stronger than most herbs on the market. One big gathering of ginkgo leaves would probably yield enough to last decades, so once or twice is all you need to do it if you get enough and tincture it all so it will last decades.

Tincture them at least two weeks, preferably started on the full moon and then label for expires in 5 years and the contents (it will be good much longer)

here is how to make them

they are very easy to make..these directions can be used for any kind of herb or herb combination. generally, one can use 80 proof vodka unless the herbs are very resinous (then use 100 proof)

Herbs are best taken 6 days a week and the 7th off and 6 weeks and not the 7th week and then start over as needed.

also the dose you are using is very small almost too small.

for tincture the average dose is 60 drops 3-5 times a day, for someone much under or over 150 pounds, use clark’s rule found here
